Hello, I’m Liz - welcome
I am a qualified Integrative Therapist with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, offering a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space for clients to explore the challenges they face. Drawing on both my professional training and lived experiences, I understand that each person's journey is unique.
I work collaboratively with clients, building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Together, we can explore your experiences, develop greater self-awareness, and work towards improved wellbeing and resilience.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that my practice is safe, professional, and guided by the highest standards of ethical care. I am committed to ongoing professional development and providing a confidential, respectful, and supportive therapeutic environment.
I offer both online and face-to-face counselling sessions, providing flexibility to suit your preferences and circumstances. In-person sessions are available in the Altrincham and Warrington area (WA14 and WA5), offering a comfortable and welcoming space for us to work together.
My Approach
I offer an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on a range of therapeutic models to meet your individual needs. Rather than using a single approach for every client, I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, goals, and circumstances.
My work combines Person-Centred Therapy, which provides a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which helps identify and challenge unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour; and Psychodynamic Therapy, which explores how past experiences and unconscious processes may influence your current relationships, emotions, and behaviours.
By integrating these approaches, I can support you in gaining deeper self-awareness, developing practical coping strategies, and creating meaningful, lasting change. Together, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, building understanding, resilience, and a stronger sense of wellbeing.
Areas I Can Help You Explore
Life can present challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected. Therapy offers a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain understanding, and develop the tools needed to move forward with confidence and clarity.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, or low self-esteem, I provide a warm, supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered.
Anxiety
Anxiety can affect every aspect of daily life, from relationships and work, to sleep and overall wellbeing. Together, we can explore the underlying causes of anxiety and develop practical strategies to help you feel calmer, more balanced, and more in control. Low Self-Esteem
Low self-esteem can impact confidence, relationships, decision-making, and overall quality of life. Together, we can explore the beliefs and experiences that may be holding you back and work towards building greater self-acceptance, confidence, and resilience.
Depression
Depression can leave you feeling emotionally drained, disconnected, and struggling to find enjoyment in everyday life. In a supportive and non-judgemental environment, we can explore your experiences, understand the factors contributing to how you feel, and work towards restoring hope, confidence, and a greater sense of wellbeing.
Stress
The pressures of modern life can leave us feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and unable to switch off. Therapy can help you identify sources of stress, develop healthier coping strategies, and restore a greater sense of balance and wellbeing.
Grief & Loss
Loss can take many forms, and the journey through grief is deeply personal. Therapy offers a supportive and compassionate space to process emotions, honour your experiences, and find a way forward while carrying your memories with you.
Relationships
Healthy relationships are essential to our emotional wellbeing, yet they often require care, understanding, and effective communication. Whether you are experiencing difficulties with a partner, family member, friend or colleague, therapy can provide the space to explore concerns and strengthen connections.
